Second shoot at Dunham Massey...

I decided to revisit the same location i had photographed first as i felt it was perfect for what i wanted. After finding the book 'Black Country' i felt i had a lot more new information to help me along with this second shoot and get into the mind set of Billingham.

When walking around my location i was looking for certain aspects that would match Billinghams photographs:

Movement

Light reflecting off leaves

Shadows

An isolated space

Autumn

Orange glow of the street lamps

Long shutter speeds

Here are the results from my second shoot:

Out of a mixture from my first and second shoot i have chosen five final images...

When showing my presentation today i didn't include this image (image above) although after looking back i feel this image is worthy of being in my final series.

I tried to add my own style to these images and to not totally emulate billinghams work but be highly inspired by his concepts and approaches.

Experimenting with light movement and stationary light...

I decided i wanted to do something more exciting with Billingham's concept so i did a bit of experimenting with light movement and stationary lights although i still kept Billingham's street lamp concept in mind, here are my results...

The main reason behind the movement in these images is that in some of Billingham's black country series he uses movement of the tree's etc so i thought id use the concept of movement but in a different way.
